The maximum depth for the shoreline area of the park is 4 feet and the average is around 2 feet. The breakwall is 8 feet at the deepest and will average 6 feet. This deeper water is going to be better fishing than the rest of the area. The park closes at 10pm except for the camping and the fishing where it is open all night long. The area is made up of three types of fishing. The estuary type which is shallow and weedy and is good for panfish and bass, the shoreline which is fairly shallow and good for the standard Lake Erie types of fishing and the breakwall which has the deeper water access from the shoreline and will also hold the Lake Erie types of fish including some walleye.
